About
Who we are, and why this exists
Pass with Dignity is a quiet voice for a kinder death. We exist for people living with a terminal illness, and for the families who love them and do not want them to suffer against their will at the end. We provide clear, gentle information about end-of-life rights and choices, a steady companion for families navigating the hardest part of a life, and a direct route for ordinary people to be heard in the places where these decisions are made.
Our work is advocacy, not medical or legal advice. We gather letters from across the country and carry them, by hand, into the parliaments of London, Edinburgh, Brussels and The Hague, so that the case for a limited, safeguarded right to an assisted death is met with names and stories rather than silence. We also help supporters contact people abroad in countries where assisted dying is already legal, pressing for the same dignity to be extended to non-residents who must travel.
We are a UK Community Interest Company, entirely non-profit and asset-locked to that social purpose. No surplus is distributed to owners, and every asset is bound to the mission. We never share the emails of the people who sign a letter or join the movement; an email is collected only so a person can later ask us to remove their name. We are built and run by a small team, working quietly, with care, on behalf of everyone who believes that how a society treats the dying is a measure of its humanity.
