Open the doors
Ask a contact abroad to lobby for us
If you know someone living in a country where assisted dying is already legal, a single letter from them — a voter, a local — can do what a hundred of ours cannot. We have written the letter for you. Pick the country, add your name, and send it to your contact there. Ask them to push their government to open the door to non-residents, as Switzerland already does.

Non-residents may access assisted dying via recognised organisations — the model we want others to follow.
Dear friend, I am writing to ask for your help with something that matters to me. In Switzerland, the law already allows people facing the end of their lives to choose a kinder death. That is something to be proud of. But today that right stops at the border: people who are not swiss residents are, in practice, turned away. I am asking you to write to your representative and to urge your government to open that door to non-residents, as Switzerland already does. People are dying in avoidable pain in countries whose governments will not yet act. A country that has already chosen dignity has the power to offer it beyond its borders, and to show others what is possible. I am a supporter. I am part of Pass with Dignity, a movement of families and supporters pressing for a death with dignity. Could you write to your member of parliament, and ask them to support access for people who are not swiss residents but who have nowhere else to turn? A single letter from a voter carries more weight than a hundred from outside. Thank you for even reading this. If you are willing, Pass with Dignity will carry your response alongside ours. With hope, a supporter Pass with Dignity
